Davey Strange was christened neither Davey, nor Strange. Raised in a conservative seaside town, just before coming of age, dreams took him to London to study art and form a band. Turning dreams into goals and goals into plans, Davey shared stages with some of the bands he listened to in a box room back in a conservative seaside town, and after ten good years of writing, playing, and touring Davey boomeranged back to the sunshine coast to take a break from the city and try his hand at writing music for film. However, the songwriting sensibilities kept reappearing, eventually evolving into what he calls Melaphoric Folk: melancholic euphoria.
